Hmm.
New laptop here. Screen... so wide... disorientingly so. Waiting for father to finish destroying things on his own (he bought one as well) before setting about altering preferences and whatnot on mine. Need partitions and the like. Need to do away with all this extraneous pre-installed crap. (I booted it up, and they have THREE ROWS of icons awaiting me. I have NEVER, in my life, had so many icons littering my desktop.) Need to reinstall and transfer and all that rot.
Need to find out WH

Because obviously, it is driving me nuts.
So far, the count is:

B
N
The B is especially irritating, because, um, Cabin Boy. Everytime I try to log into something, namely Gaia, I forget about this interesting little glitch, and it hits return after the B, making it try to log in with Cabin B, which obviously isn't going to work.
I have searched hot keys everywhere to see if there's an option to disable it. Have come up with nothing. Cannot even fathom why such a hot key would exist in the first place, but have no idea where else to look. Is not a glitch solely on my laptop, father's does it as well.

Best thing I can think of is to try using the Fn Keys to try to switch that?
As far as I know, it might not be acting the enter key so much as it's acting as the "pause/Break" key.
Read your manual about changing key behaviors.
Sorry I can't be of more help, I just don't use Toshiba.

I mean to say "full size" keyboard. The ones that have two Alt, 2 enter, 2 shift and 2 ctrl buttons. =P

I can, however, cause individual windows to zoom in. Fascinating. -.-;

weird.
Also, was there an option to get your laptop with the other things not installed already? Just curious.... I chose to get Jack without an OS because I didn't feel like shelling out $150 for WinXP when I got it for $1.50 from UB. -.-;;; stupid windows.
But now you have your own sort of horizontally-challenged code! =D And only us can read it!!! yesss... >.>

...Dammit. ::glares at verticalness:: >.<;
It did not have said option. I highly doubt I could get Windows from my school anyway. =\ I would have looked for something that did have that option and made you get it for me if I'd known. XP
As it stands, I'm probably going to have you get me l'
Adobe artiste programs. I know you guys can get some sort of deal on those, too, yes? (I guess they're still expensive but not as much so? Or something. Meh.)
btw. Maaaan is WinXP made for complete idiots. Le wow. o.O; ::pokes at it::

In one year I will have to set out as a professional illustrator. I cannot- at least not in good conscience, even if it is possible to get away with it- sell art that I have created using pirated programs. Thx.

As far as the keyboard - my suggestion (and solution to quite a few computer problems of my own, whenever there's a serious issue) is to wipe the computer clean and set it up from scratch.
It generally works, I'd bet it's one of those 10,000 things you don't need installed off the bat.
